To avoid ingesting the wrong type of lavender and getting a superior quality product, it is best to buy Lavender tea bags from a reputed brand. We offer some delicious recipes for Lavender tea:

Easy Preparation

A tiny amount of dried lavender buds, Lavender tea bags, and hot water are all that you need to prepare this uplifting cup of tea. A teaspoon of lavender buds or a single tea bag for a cup of water suffices – the duration of steeping will impact the flavour and strength of the tea. Tea bags should steep for about 3 to 4 minutes, while buds should steep anywhere between 3 to 10 minutes. Steeping either of them too long will result in a tea with a bitter taste.

You could add a twist of lemon and a teaspoon of honey to your cup of hot lavender tea. You also add other herbs or flowers to this tea. Chamomile and mint are top favourites in the list of additions. Lavender Tea bags are the most convenient and you could choose between a green or black tea base. Tea bags save you hassle and preparation time.

Sit back, and allow the soothing notes of this tea to relax your body and pamper your palate.

Green Iced Chamomile and Lavender Tea

  • 2 Lavender tea bags
  • 2 Chamomile tea bags
  • 8 cups of water
  • 1 Cup of citrus fruits, sliced (depending on your preference this could be limes, lemons, oranges, grapefruit, or others)
  • Ice Cubes

How to Prepare:

  1. Boil the water, remove from the heat, and add the tea bags
  2. Allow to steep for a few minutes, and remove tea bags
  3. Allow the water to reach room temperature, and then transfer it to a glass pitcher, add fruit slices, and refrigerate until chilled.
  4. Add ice cubes to tall glasses, pour the mixture over them, garnish with the fruit slices, and serve in style!
  5. Voila – you have a tasty and healthy brew that everyone will love.

If you prefer black tea, you can substitute green tea bags with those that have a black tea base. Earl Grey is one such substitute since it has a citrusy taste given it contains bergamot rinds.

Preparing the Best Lavender Tea

  • Use the best quality culinary lavender
  • Warm the cup by swirling hot water in it before pouring in the tea
  • Use only the recommended amount of lavender and ensure you follow instructions on the steeping time
  • Instead of normal water ice cubes, which will dilute the taste of the iced tea, you can freeze some of the prepared Lavender tea into cubes (the same is true for any other iced tea), and use these instead
  • Always cover the container in which you store the iced tea – an open container will absorb odours into the liquid

Stop and Unwind

Lavender tea is fragrant and has an uplifting sweet taste, both of which serve to soothe and refresh. Prepare a cup at any time of the day or just before sleeping – unwind, relax, and de-stress. Wishing you peace and calm!
