    Frequently Asked Questions

    Know your Tea Better

    Where are your Teas from?

We source our teas from over 150 renowned plantations and small individual farms in India. Within the country, we procure from 5 popular tea-producing regions, namely: Darjeeling, Assam, Nilgiri, Kangra, and Sikkim.

    How are the Teas packaged?

After sourcing our teas directly from plantations within hours of harvest, we bring them to our state-of-the-art tea facility in New Delhi, India. The teas then go through rigorous rounds of cleaning, sorting, quality testing to remove any impurities/dust/foreign particles. Post 10+ quality checkpoints for leaf size, aroma, liquor, flavors etc. these are vacuum-packaged in opaque aluminum-lined bags using sophisticated machinery. These vacuum-bags are then stored in a dehumidified, temperature-controlled warehouse which ensures that the teas remain garden-fresh and maintain their character. Further, required quantities are packed in smaller vacuum-sealed packs which are boxed in the retail boxes and then sent over to our own delivery centers located in various parts of the world.

If my vacuum-sealed pack is not tight, is the tea still fresh and consumable?

Our teas are vacuum-packed fresh at source in India. At times, when you open the box, you might find the vacuum bag loose. This is completely normal & has no impact on the freshness of the tea. The pouch is still sealed & all stale air has been flushed out. So, cut open the bag & brew yourself a cup of tea.

    Regular blend

This is my new regular blend for black tea. It's simple, smooth and just right when you don't want a lot of flavors and "noise". I've really grown to love this blend in the mornings.

    Give it a try!

I was looking for a new black breakfast tea to try. Upon opening the package, the smell was really unusual and I wasn't sure if I would like it. I usually drink black tea with milk and tried it twice but didn't like it - the milk completely overpowers this tea, no matter how long you steep it. Then, I tried it with honey and it was delicious! I have it every morning now and look forward to it. It has a strong woody flavor, is light in color, and finishes with a slightly fruity aftertaste. Uplifting with just the right amount of caffeine in a cup. Great for breakfast or brunch!

    One of my favorites!

I love Himalayan Breakfast. It's not the strongest breakfast tea - weaker than Vahdam's English Breakfast, and certainly weaker than most CTC-type breakfast blends. However, Himalayan has a terrific and slightly fruity flavor. The aroma is great. The liquor is light to medium, but the taste is a little stronger than it looks. Personally, I prefer it as a late morning or a mid afternoon tea.

    Much better than average tea

I feel I know quite a lot about teas, and have bought many different ones from this company. This is one of the best. It is indeed tippy, with fine hairy golden and black mostly intact leaves. The flavor is quite full, with fruit and grass tendencies. It's not overly acidic, but balanced. Excellent for any time of day. Might not hold up to milk and sugar, best on its own.
